What you will be doing
Albertson’s Companies is looking for people who are interested in re-imagining the grocery experience by harnessing the power of digital technologies to optimize how we reach our customers. The Senior Audience Insights Analyst will work closely with Media Planning, Inventory Management, Analytics, Finance, Product Development, Business Development, and IT stakeholders. The position will be based in Pleasanton CA.
Main responsibilities
- Facilitates the development of strategic marketing and new business plans utilizing customer data to meet or exceed assigned business goals for CPGs.
- Represent the voice of the customer, providing customer and market insights and competitive analysis.
- Experience with hands-on implementation & use of emerging customer-centric technologies and capabilities including identity management, data onboarding, Personalization, 1st party / 2nd party / 3rd party data systems (e.g., CDP, DMP, data exchanges), all built on a strong customer-first mindset.
- Analyze activation benchmarks and continually update team on trends impacting audience reach in the changing digital landscape.
- Helps monitor, analyze, and forecast a CPG’s usage of audience packages.
- Supports all routine and custom audience deliverables part of the end to end media process.
- Ensures routine and timely completion of all audience insights deliverables to all relevant stakeholders aligning with a continually improving, best-in-class level of quality.
- Work closely with Media Planning and RMN Sales teams on day-to-day operational processes including:
- Campaign audience development, availability, timelines and delivery of standard and custom audiences.
- Identifying root cause for campaign success, refining process & product enhancement and development as needed.
- Provide optimization recommendations on tactics/placements, targeting/segmentation and messaging to meet specific campaign objectives.
- Assist in initiating and overseeing projects that increase team’s efficiency and accuracy for providing customer insights.
- Strong communication aptitude with Product Management, IT, Media agencies, Business teams and MarTech / AdTech vendor partners.
- Strategic thinker with a customer centric focus, utilizing data-driven techniques to drive business optimization and performance.

What we are searching for
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience within ecom/retail, preferably grocery, e-commerce, or CPG.
- 4+ years of direct experience in digital media operations and execution in ad technology including Ad Serving, Media Platforms, LiveRamp and/or relevant digital media tools.
- Experience with working with a large media and analytics agency a plus.
- A passion for measurement, testing and telling a story with data.
- Hands on experience with a broad set of analytics tools (customer, site, media, & Data Science a plus).
- Experienced in SQL, Excel expertise, advanced languages & techniques a plus (e.g., R, Python).
- Direct experience in MarTech / AdTech tools (e.g., data onboarding, ESP, Google, Facebook) a plus.
- Ability to critically think, analyze, and support business relationships, influence and collaborate across all levels in a high paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Strong balance of analytical as well as communication and presentation skills.
