Job Description
SEMCO Energy – Business Analyst
The Business Analyst, under general supervision, is responsible to bridge the gap between the business users and their requirements, the Digital team and the application vendor to modify and administer the application to meet business needs. The quasi-technical role will integrate people, processes, and systems by harnessing an intimate understanding of business goals and the systems that the business uses. This role will provide technical and application support to users regarding processes and procedures related to system utilization and performance.
You Will

Provide application and technical support for multiple business applications including MWM (Mobile Workforce Management), CIS (Customer Information System), and the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. Acts as backup for other applications as required.

Demonstrates ability to be the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex applications.

Define, implement, and maintain business processes and procedures to meet business objectives, by working with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes, and risks.

Use best practices to carry out business process analysis, re-engineering, and change management activities.

Plan and coordinate testing changes, application upgrades, and new system implementations. Completes setup and configuration activities within business applications to meet compliance and end-user requirements.

Manage projects within time and budget guidelines while providing technical advice on processing technology, capability, risk, and costs.

Tests, debugs, implements, and documents changes to meet change management requirements while serving as a liaison between the business users, IT, and application vendors.

Ability to perform tasks after hours, on weekends, and travel to remote locations as required.

Provide daily end-user support and problem resolution maintaining a focus on stakeholder support and company compliance standards.
You Have
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Process Management/Project Management or equivalent experience

2 to 4 years of experience in business process engineering, process mapping, and process management

High level of competence with MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Visio

Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively examine business processes and workflows

General understanding of Citrix, Linux, Windows Active Directory, and Group Policy

General understanding of FTP/Telnet commands
-
Ability to troubleshoot issues with devices, cell, and GPS

Experience with SOX compliance
In addition to our standard benefits package, the estimated base salary for this role will range from $61,898 -$85,109, depending on experience.
