The Role

Job Purpose:
Provide support to Shell’s OUs by acting as an AVEVA E3D Administrator in drawing management systems.
The Candidate primarily works on AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD
Provide guidance & support to AVEVA E3D User
Business Dimensions:
The role is expected to be the expert in AVEVA E3D Administrator and closely engage with an OU in updating the technical specification & suggest improvement solutions for improving the overall quality of work. Also, provide training and guidance to other drafters while replicating best practices from stakeholders and partner organizations.
Principal Accountabilities:

Has extensive experience in working AVEVA E3D modeler and E3D Administrator.

Strong understanding of fundamentals of mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil structural and process discipline required for Plant 3D model creation
-
Proficiency in AVEVA 3D modeling with an understanding of drafting and quality check process

Proficiency in following administration activities are must AVEVA E3D application Setting up 3D backup restore 3D environment setup – Report customization, Security setup etc. Setting up naming rules Setting interference detection service and rules 3D workshare setup Setting up AVEVA E3D in Thin client & Thick client environment Symbols Customization 3D Version upgrades and patching Customization of Orthographic, Isometric drawing Templates.

Must be expertise in following E3D discipline: -AVEVA ADMINISTRATION, AVEVA CATALOGUE, AVEVA MODEL

Project Creation and Administration (Backup, Merging Dbs etc).
-
Catalogue and Specification Creation in AVEVA (Piping and Structural), UDA, UDET and Properties Creation.
-
Oversee, coordinate and manage the operation, maintenance, setup and configuration of the piping material catalogues and specifications in the E3D database.
-
Set-up ISODRAFT module (Iso option file) for generating isometrics as per company and client standards/procedures. Resolve and troubleshoot isometric errors.

DRAW (Draft) Administration (Administration of Sheet Library, Symbol Library, Isodraft symbol Library, Label Library, Style Library, Rules Library, Representation Library, Tag rule library etc.

MDS (Multi-Discipline Support) User, troubleshooting at the database level, Piping Isometric troubleshooting, Handle and manage E3D database.

Piping layout backing sheet creation in AVEVA DRAW MODULE.
-
Generating piping MTO report templates.
-
MTO Extraction, clash report, data consistency report and various reports from E3D.
-
Configuring deliverables in AVEVA DRAW & ISODRAW.
-
Customize E3D to make it easier for designers to yield higher productivity.
-
Troubleshoot all modules of E3D including Isometric and Drafting.
-
Import 3D model from Solid Edge, 3D AutoCAD, Tekla in E3D.
-
Navisworks and review files from E3D model and animation/ walkthrough preparation for management presentation.
-
Set up and update model review files in Navisworks format at intervals defined by project requirements.

Provide training on AVEVA E3D Administration/ Modelling to new joiners/designers, preparation of training material.

Establish procedures/specifications for projects and company standards relating to the use of E3D.

Create workflow/standard procedures for administration activities
-
Coordinate with IT regarding project CAD requirements
-
Basic knowledge in AVEVA Diagrams, AVEVA Electrical, Instrumentation, AVEVA Schematic 3D integrator, AVEVA P&ID and integration with AVEVA E3D

Expert in 3D modeling of Piping, Structural, Equipment, HVAC, Electrical, Instrumentation.

Prepare, extract, check Isometric drawings, Piping Arrangement Drawings, Equipment Arrangement Drawings and Inter-discipline drawings.

Knowledge of PML 2, PML .Net preferred

Carries out pipe wall thickness calculation, bolt length calculations and piping components.

Prepares bill of materials for piping bulk items
-
Knowledge in Digital twin and hands-on experience in AVEVA P&ID, AVEVA Instrumentation, AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Net will be added advantage.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education/Experience:
Mechanical / Piping Engineering Degree/ Diploma with 5-7 years of work experience in
-
Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical Industry – operating assets and/or a varied range of brownfield projects.
-
A minimum of 6 years experience in a designer in AVEVA E3D
-
A minimum of 3 years experience in an Administrator in AVEVA E3D
-
Review and prepare piping design deliverables (i.e., Bill of Material, Isometrics and Piping GA Drawings)
-
Knowledge in Information Management and Integrated Engineering Systems processes and principles
-
Familiar with international codes, standards, recommended practices, and knowledge level in Shell Dep will be added advantageous.

Piping/Mechanical design & technical disciplinary drawings in design, drafting & engineering firms/ consultancy firms/ plant environments/industry past the professional degree/diploma.

Result-oriented with goal setting for self and team.

Leadership skills and team engagement
Highly Preferred skills are:

Strong knowledge in AVEVA suites and Digital twin.

Acting as an interface with other disciplines to overcome design/drafting issues

Application Knowledge- AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D
