Job Detail:
- Be a vital part of the engineering team, to deliver mission critical software. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with product, PMO and QA and be a hands-on developer of Medidata s software applications with Python, relational databases and Cloud Services
- Full-stack design, development, and operation of core data capabilities like data lake, data warehouse, data marts and data pipelines
- Contribute to the teams roadmap and project planning process, partnering with stakeholders to develop business objectives and translate those into action
- Work with data architects to develop data flows and align to platform integration standards
- Use test driven strategies to ensure code quality, and collaborate with test engineering to ensure feature quality
- Leverage agile methodologies to anticipate and mitigate risks, ensure team health and manage complex tasks
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid and junior level engineers, in sharing knowledge and encouraging professional growth
Your Challenges ahead
- Developing data pipelines and data driven services using modern cloud solutions
- Developing web API patterns and protocols, REST services
- RDBMS: PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar
- Experience in AWS – STEP, LAMBDA, S3
- Linux tools, OS, Stack
- Cloud-oriented with strong understanding of SaaS models
- Agile software development, revision control, collaboration, and build tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Git
Your key success factors
- 4-8 Years of Experience in App development using Python
- Experience in developing microservices for containerized applications
- Experience in API based integrations with AWS cloud
- Experience in Back End development utilizing many AWS services
- Experience in developing utilities using Python
- Exposure in UI development using React (atleast one position needs to be filled with this skill)
Good to have skills
- Knowledge of any other programming language (e.g. Java)
- Knowledge of DevOps/SRE concepts
- Knowledge of containerized applications
