About The Role
3Degrees helps organizations around the world implement renewable energy, transportation decarbonization, and other climate solutions. The Energy & Climate Practice (ECP), the consulting division at 3Degrees provides services to some of the largest and most respected companies on the planet and our operations team is key to supporting successful engagements. At this time we are looking to bolster our operations team to deliver on our growth strategy through efficient processes and applicable deployment of technology solutions to help our consultants do everything they do more efficiently and effectively to support our clients. This role is an exciting opportunity to bring your tactical expertise and big picture focus in collaboration with internal stakeholders to enable our team.
This is a full–time remote position reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, with the ideal candidate being located in the US.
What You’ll Do
With a focus on team support and process improvement, this role will be critical to building the infrastructure and processes to take the ECP team to the next level. Working directly with client delivery teams and other business units to support the implementation of key tools and processes, in an effort to reach operational targets, this position will focus on the following key responsibilities:
Team Support:
- Assist client delivery teams in forecasting and planning
- Match available resources to projects to support client delivery
- Support management of the ECP tech stack
Onboarding and Training:
- Enhance onboarding and training materials for the ECP team
- Work with client delivery teams to develop process guides for different projects
- Help manage Learning Management System, adding and editing content as needed
- Partner with delivery teams to develop case studies of client projects
Process Management:
- Optimize existing tools and proactively implement process improvements for all tools
- Maintain cross-departmental communication and collaboration between ECP and other divisions of the company
- Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to ECP and the broader Commercial business
- Support delivery of key recommendations to Commercial management during annual planning process
- Perform ad-hoc projects, as required
About You
You are a driven self-starter who can be trusted to do meaningful work while thinking about the bigger picture of how the consulting team can function more efficiently and effectively. With the ability and desire to be tactical and also think strategically, you take a proactive approach to helping a team, and you have a knack for clearly and succinctly presenting complex information. Prior experience working on consulting projects is a plus, specifically addressing renewable energy and climate change issues. In addition, you bring the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- 3-6 years of relevant experience (operations, consulting, etc.)
- Must be an organized self-starter who can take projects on and run with them independently
- Must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and technical skills; Excel and Tableau experience preferred
- Experience developing or leading trainings
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
How We Define Success
Within 30 Days
- You will have a firm understanding of ECP’s structure/processes and an overall understanding of our service
Within 60 Days
- You will have a solid understanding of the current tools (TalentLMS, Google Drive, time tracking software, etc.) and key processes
Within 120 Days
- You will be proficient in the key support tasks of the role and begin to recommend and manage process improvement projects
