Functional Analyst – SAP Basis

You will be working as Functional Analyst and reporting to IS Solution Architect for electrification business area in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for providing technical and business process/data expertise by understanding systems and procedures, together with being current on emerging technologies to support on-going operations and/or development of new software. Using in-depth knowledge, creates/assists the appropriate technical blueprint. Defines the feasibility of a solution, its implementation, interaction with existing systems and improve cost-effectiveness of the project/product.

Your responsibilities

• Architecture designing, installing, and upgrading of SAP system landscape
• Resolving problems in the SAP system and configuring SAP Transport Management System
• Ensuring that TMS process works reliably
• Supporting SAP ABAP and J2EE environments, the current system architecture includes ABAP only, J2EE only, and ABAP + J2EE systems
• Supporting the third-party product integration with SAP, this includes connectivity support for business systems such as RightFax, BSI tax factory, vertex, iXOS Archiving
• Supporting Baldor’s goals regarding computer system availability and performance. ensuring that systems perform within stated performance metrics these include uptime and dialog response time

Your background

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study
• Minimum 4 to 5years of experience in SAP Basis system administration of large enterprise systems
• Experience with the following tools VNC / Telnet / FTP and operation systems like Linux / Windows
• Experience with IBM z/OS and IBM DB/2 is beneficial
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and set priorities, participating in after hours, on call rotation
