IS Business Analyst

You will be working as IS Business Analyst role reporting to Finance controller at global grade and will be part of Motion- Large Motors & Generators division Business Area based in Vadodara, India. The IS Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between the technical environment and the business by gathering requirements and using data analytics to assess processes, outline problems, opportunities, and solutions, to support decisions for new or changed IS solutions/services.
Your responsibilities
- Performing Business Analysis for a segment of an organization, contributing technical and business process/data expertise to either support ongoing operations or project new software and to support decisions for new or changed IS solution/services in scope.
- Applying related business processes knowledge, shapes and aligns IS solution/services to build and deliver activities.
- The IS Business Analyst identifies and prioritizes functional requirements.
- Functionally defining solutions fulfilling customer requirements leveraging best practices.
- Selecting, adopting, and adapting appropriate business analysis methods, tools, and techniques.
- Conducts advanced modelling activities for significant change programs.
- Collaborating with Service Owner and IS Domain Owner in the definition of costs and estimates efforts with Solution Architect for IS solution/services development, change requests and releases.
- Collects and translates requirements for projects and changes into specifications for in-ternal and external delivery parties.
- In collaboration with IS Change Control Manager of the relevant domain maintains a view of upcoming demand within the services in scope, pre-qualifies and prioritizes change requests, escalates changes that should be projected to the Service Owner.
- Supports and engages ABB Business/Function as Product Owner in the qualification of the business request for assigned service(s).
Your background
- Diploma/BE/B tech in electrical engineering
- Minimum with 5 to 10 years’ experience of Low / High Voltage Motors
- Understand the business process of Order to cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R) and other cycles and translate the same for ERP implementation of SAP S4 Hana / Ariba
