Job Detail:
A growing, $80M privately held global business that provides strategic sourcing, manufacturing and engineering solutions, including vendor managed inventory programs is seeking a sharp Strategic Business Analyst with heavy experience in industrial inventory demand planning and modeling. This new “priority” position requires exceptional analytical and Excel skills and experience creating complex Excel models. The company is growing quickly through focused sales efforts and an expanding base of suppliers internationally and developing tools to better analyze data in all facets of the business as it grows is an ongoing priority.
The Business Analyst will play a key role and work closely with the management team across all functions of the business, including finance, sales, supply chain and operations. The Business Analyst will help develop critical analysis and comprehensive Excel models to better manage customer demand planning, supply chain production planning and inventory turnover. Over time, this position is expected to expand to help build new overall financial models that will be used in financial analysis of various aspects of the business.
This position will work on-site in their Buford location for 12-18 months but, after models have been implemented, it is expected that working from home a couple days a week could be an option. Competitive base salary, plus an annual performance bonus.
Candidate Requirements – Qualifications & Experience:
- 3 – 5 years of combined experience that includes:
- 3 years of inventory demand planning and modeling (highest priority)
- 5 years of FP&A, data analyst or other business analyst role
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Engineering or a similar area
- Strong accounting, financial analysis and research skills.
- Exceptional Excel modeling skills and attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Deep intellectual curiosity, creativity and an innate willingness and eagerness to learn
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects
- Desire to work on a small team in a high-standards environment with motivated professionals
Core Position Responsibilities:
- Support CFO in analyzing, developing and maintaining reports across key functions:
- Inventory and other working capital management
- Pricing and profitability across all the Company’s active products
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Support Head of Sales in developing and maintaining key databases
- Analyzing new sales opportunities to determine pricing and viability of new projects
- Maintain detailed demand projections for entire customer base
- Support Operational Heads in developing and maintaining Company’s international supplier database
- Support CEO on discrete research and other analysis to inform company strategic direction into the future
