- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years relevant industry experience
- Advanced data analysis knowledge and experience, with strong MS Excel and SQL skills
- Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Ability to build visualizations in Tableau, PowerBI or Quicksight and similar BI tools
- Ability to clearly communicate insights (in verbal and written form) to stakeholders and senior management
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative and dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail and experience balancing multiple tasks and deadlines

As a Business Analyst, you will have an enormous opportunity to impact the customer experience. In this role, you will partner with our product managers to consult, prioritize, develop and implement KPIs, and automate reporting/process solutions. You will analyze key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues. You will enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format. You will suggest and build new metrics and analysis that enable better perspective on business. You will capture the right metrics to influence stakeholders and measure success and translate data into actionable insights. You will deliver recommendations to senior executives and drive alignment across levels, functions, and organizations.

Key job responsibilities
- Perform complex data analysis on large data sets to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and customer experience
- Enable decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources to present it in a digestible and actionable format
- Design, develop and establish KPIs to provide strategic insights to drive growth and performance
- Continuously evaluate data analysis tools and processes and offer solutions to ensure they are efficient, high-quality and scalable
- Ability to perform/own reoccurring and ad-hoc business intelligence projects, e.g. to quickly solve time sensitive operational issues and business cases
- Manage multiple projects and proactively communicate issues and priorities
- Closely collaborate with colleagues from science, engineering and business backgrounds
- Communicate complex insights, potential data discrepancies and/or reporting downtime, including specific root cause, and steps to resolution to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
About the team
Our team is diverse and fun to work with!
- Degree in statistics, engineering, mathematics, economics or a related quantitative field
- Used to agile working methodologies (e.g. Scrum and Kanban)
- Experience working with language data, speech recognition and/or natural language processing
- Understanding of relevant statistical measures such as confidence intervals, significance of error measurements, development and evaluation data sets, etc.
- Experience working with AWS big data technologies (S3, Redshift, EC2, QuickSight etc.)
- Advanced knowledge in scripting with R, Ruby or Python
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented work environment
