Data Engineer

Pay up to $135,000/year plus bonus
We are working with a global data analytics/technology organization. They deliver data intelligence to various industries and offer over 130 products. Our client is looking to add a Data Engineer to their team. The manager is passionate about hiring employees that are humble, good collaborators, bias toward action, not afraid to fail, and able to pivot easily.
This team is creating an automated product for a process that is currently manual. They will be working with the data science team to help build an element of predictive modeling to the product. The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- Strong SQL
- Python (for ETL)
- Experience building ETL data pipelines
- AWS
- GIS/geospatial data experience – understand how to map and query data would be very helpful
- Planning and mapping products
- Collaborate with lead architect, API team (as this is an API product), marketing team (understanding of marketing terms would be helpful), data science team, etc.
- Desire to lead/mentor, as they will directing the work of a junior data engineer
- Someone who has work in a startup environment would be helpful because they are working fast, breaking things, learning from mistakes, etc.
