Our projects are pushing the boundaries of Document Intelligence. We are the team behind Acrobat Liquid Mode, which made Fortune’s Change the World list 2020 and has large scale user usage around the Globe.
As we continue to expand our portfolio of ML projects, we are increasingly investing in our Data Team. Our mission is to support all ML projects within Adobe Document Cloud by helping them acquire high-quality labeled data. We are looking for a Senior Manager to drive all our data efforts for machine learning projects. A successful candidate will be a key leader within the Document Cloud Artificial Intelligence group and partner with various ML teams across Adobe working on document intelligence. You will lead a diverse team of taxonomists, software engineers, and machine learning engineers. You will be responsible for encouraging a Data-Centric AI climate in the org, and will collaborate with both internal ML teams and external data vendors to help ML teams plan and complete their data strategies. Our team focuses on 2 main areas:
Build a Data Platform to support the curation of high-quality document datasets throughout their lifecycle: acquisition of raw data, labeling, exploration, and assessment of fitness-to-task. We use active learning, weak supervision, and other techniques to optimize the labeling process while maintaining high standards for accuracy.
Advising and coaching various ML teams, helping them to craft a taxonomy for their project, to develop an appropriate annotation strategy, and to connect with the right vendor to generate high-quality labeled data.
You will lead a partnership with key stakeholders (engineering and product leadership) to help complete and evolve the strategy of the Data Team. You will grow the Data Platform, evolve processes, and develop strategic partnerships with leading Data-Centric AI companies to help optimize data for ML projects. What You Need to Succeed
Expertise in Data for ML projects
Understanding of ML techniques
Exceptional active listening and communication skills (written as well as verbal)
Ability to lead and plan projects in the face of ambiguity
Exceptional organization and people leadership skills – lead with compassion, high emotional and growth mindset
Experience in leading impactful and geographically distributed teams
5+ years of engineering management experience; 10+ years of total experience
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience
