Position Summary
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you are someone who has significant expertise in both machine learning and software engineering. You will be working with our engineering and product teams to design, build, and productionize proprietary machine learning models to solve different business challenges including large scale model fleet management, technical model analysis, etc.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to understand business priorities, frame machine learning problems, architect machine learning solutions
Build and productionize machine learning models including data preparation/processing pipelines, machine learning orchestrations, and improvements of services performance and reliability
Contribute and maintain a high-quality code base with tests that provide a high level of functional coverage as well as non-functional aspects with load testing, unit testing, and integration testing
Keep track of emerging tech and trends, research the state-of-art deep learning models, prototype new modeling ideas, and conduct offline and online experiments.
Perform deep data analysis to identify areas of improvement and how to remedy those weak points
Explore new ML technologies and measure their potential value added in relation to business priorities

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of industry experience in software engineering roles and development experience in Python
3+ years of experience with ML tooling (e.g. PyTorch, Kubeflow)
Familiarity with a major cloud provider (e.g. AWS, GCP)
LANGUAGE ABILITY
The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively one-on-one or before groups of customers or employees.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to break a complex problem down into manageable sized sections to facilitate troubleshooting.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and substantial experience in Networking, MS Operating Systems, MS Office to include Visio and Projects, programmable application software and MS SQL Server. They must also be able to recognize the dynamic nature of software and hardware and must continually adjust their skill set to new technologies as they become important to the success of the Company.

Pay and Benefits Disclosure
The salary range for this role is $64,035 – $128,069 and is based on experience and qualifications. Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short term and long term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
