Job Detail:
AFR is looking for an analytical, detail oriented, and experienced IT Data Analyst to join our team!
Ideal candidates for this role will have passion for analyzing data and using their technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high quality. The focus of the role will be to analyze, design, and determine the best way to import data into database and to present data visually to managers and stakeholders.
What you’d be doing:
· Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize business operations and quality.
· Review, analyze and modify programming systems including encoding, debugging, testing, and installing to support application systems.
· Create new reports and modify existing ones by using SSRS or SQL.
· Database maintenance including SQL jobs, SSIS, database restores, and database performance.
· Perform a variety of tasks:
· Work with the data files sent by clients in a timely manner and merge the information onto our system.
· Review the data files from new or prospective clients and give feedback on them accordingly.
· Write scripts/packages needed for maintenance of the database.
· Run reports both for in-house use and for clients.
· Review any issues brought up by the clients and determine if this is a bug or an enhancement that is needed to be done on the existing systems.
· Work with the customer service group to help them with any issues they face.
· Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
The skills and experience you’d bring to AFR:
· Acute attention to detail as well as effective and creative problem-solving abilities
· Strong verbal and written communication skills involving technical and non-technical information
· Strong analytical skills, ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with accuracy
· Bachelor’s degree required – Information Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or related field and at least 4 years of related experience
· Experience with/using:
o Regular expressions
o .NET technologies and C#
o Python or tools specifically designed for flat file manipulation
· Strong interpersonal skills, within the team, and interacting with multiple levels across AFR
