Internship Description
The Aireon Internship Program is an opportunity for students to be a part of the Aireon teams that are making groundbreaking advancements in global air traffic surveillance. As an Intern, you’ll begin making an impact on real projects from day one! Come prepared to grow, develop, and learn alongside a team and the leaders of our company. The Aireon Internship program is a 12-week program that runs from May 22, 2023 to August 11, 2023. During the program, interns will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to an Aireon department on a project or important work assignment. Interns will also be provided an opportunity to engage with senior leadership and fellow interns through regular engagement activities.
Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities
The intern will t ake on an existing python program and modernize it with the latest python version and 3rd party packages versions to make it more efficient, secure, and reliable.
What You’ll Do
- W ork in local Windows PC laptop development environment
- U se Azure DevOps to check-in code
- U se Azure Virtual Machine to deploy the application
- Work on Agile Environment:
- Plan Sprint
- Daily Scrum
- Prepare for Demos/Reviews
- Check-in code
- Reviews and Testing
- Application Release

Required Qualifications

- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with p rogramming in Python
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with Python Virtual Environments
- Experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, Ipyleaflet , Visual Studio Code
