As an SQA engineer, be responsible for testing the performance, reliability, scalability, security and functionality of Akamai’s Enterprise technologies. Building and executing system level automated and manual tests. Maintaining the fault-tolerant and highly scalable core of our configuration and health monitoring systems.
As a Q/A Engineer Senior II, you will be responsible for:
- Performing the full software QA cycle, gathering specifications to automating as needed in a exciting environment
- Working with our development and system QA teams to create regression tests covering changes to our software
- Partnering with cross functional teams to develop new tools and features and find solutions for problems
- Defining metrics for tracking system performance and drive these systems to meet those metrics
- Developing tools and automating processes to identify and predict performance related issues to take necessary actions
- Diagnosing, debugging and performing root-cause analysis of issues and defects. Collaborating with teams internally to design, develop and implement test cases and test plans
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 8+ years of considerable experience in testing Enterprise applications in cloud network software environment.
- Have experience in testing, deploying and supporting applications on the Linux operating system
- Have experience of working in networking, cloud, L4-L7, Load balancers and Identity systems
- Have experience in web applications with Javascript, HTML. Be well versed in scripting language Java/Python web application architecture and Robot framework.
- Demonstrate experience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS & VPN
