Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the organization by overseeing the deployment, automation, and management of the production infrastructure and applications. You will collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff to manage code releases and ensure the reliability of our infrastructure, delivering robust, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment scripts.
- Manage, monitor, and scale infrastructure to support high-performance and secure applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to create efficient, supportable infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability.
- Implement and improve monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Proactively plan for and minimize service outages through capacity planning and infrastructure improvements.
- Implement security best practices through tools and processes.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response, as needed.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of our cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Continuously improve the efficiency and reliability of our build, deploy, and test pipeline.
- Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Document best practices and operational procedures.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent software-engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Expertise in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux-based systems and command-line tools.
- Scripting skills in languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash.
- Experience with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize build and deployment processes.
- Solid understanding of agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
