The Commercial Insights Analyst will be a key member of the Commercial Excellence team supporting the Global Commercial organization. This position will foster a strong partnership with the Commercial and R&D teams across the globe providing in-depth analytical support and actionable insights to drive the business.
The Commercial Insights Analyst utilizes data from various systems to provide insights and recommendations for improved sales performance and operational effectiveness. Responsibilities will include analysis of the regions sales performance, pricing analytics, demand forecasting, customer analysis, and general business support at the regional and individual sales territory level.
The position requires strong analytical and presentation skills as interfacing with multiple functions across the company is critical to the candidateโs success. This analyst will work directly with the Global Commercial Insights Leader, Technology Directors, and the wider sales team.
- Bachelorโs degree in engineering, science or commerce with MBA (preferred but not mandatory)
- 1-3 Years of proven experience in Strategy Consulting/Advisory space or Business/Market Research
- Good understanding of market Estimation/market Sizing approach and methodologies, competitive benchmarking, sector and pricing analyses
- Strong expertise in quantitative analytics techniques specially in building complex market models, primary and secondary research and building data driven insights
- Excellent Business acumen, problem solving and analytical Skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong aptitude and close attention to detail, with a quality-focused mind-set
- Flexible in outlook, and willing to participate in different projects as per business requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft office tools like Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Knowledge of statistical modelling using data visualization and analytics tools like Tableau, Python, R, Power BI etc. is preferred but not mandatory
Job Description (Responsibilities)
- Understanding internal key business objectives & project requirements to effectively manage stakeholder expectations
- Successfully initiating, executing and delivering research projects involving market evaluation, competitive analysis & benchmarking, technology assessment, concept testing, customer assessment and industry/sector analysis etc.
- Use tools, techniques and standard methodologies to support research and analysis
- Primary and Secondary data collection, processing and reporting to help tackle broad range of business challenges
- Develop and apply statistical models that help to understand dynamic business issues
- Leverage analytic techniques to find data driven insights that help guide internal decision-making
- Make high impact presentations for Alkegen leadership, with compelling story board, hypothesis and visualization to deliver actionable recommendations
