We are seeking a Nashville based Business Process Innovation Analyst to join our Business Process Innovation team in Technology and Operations.
The Business Process Innovation team is a newly formed team whose focus is to use technology to automate business processes across AllianceBernstein in order to enable better business outcomes. In addition to our proprietary products, we are introducing new, innovative technology including advanced data analytics and AI tools to provide next generation automation and workflow capabilities.
The Business Process Innovation Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders throughout the organization to understand current business processes and identify opportunities for process reengineering and technology enabled improvement. The Business Process Innovation Analyst will become familiar with innovative technology and use that knowledge to articulate possible solutions. They will work from inception through implementation and beyond to ensure successful delivery of new systems capabilities. This includes assisting project sponsors to define business cases, working with stakeholders to understand and prioritize their needs, and working closely with developers, testers, and business partners through implementation.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have experience working with business stakeholders to understand their processes, reimagine them, and provide innovative solutions to improve the business outcome.
Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:
The Business Process Innovation team works across all Strategic Business Units (SBUโs) at AllianceBernstein. The Business Process Innovation Analyst will support this team as a collaborator and liaison to business partners across multiple business units, as well as with other technology groups.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating and working with stakeholders to identify opportunities to transform business processes resulting in more efficiency, productivity, scalability, accuracy, and effectiveness, as well as managing expectations
- Communicating directly with business users understand current processes and provide recommendations on how to improve those processes through business process reengineering and the application of technology
- Supporting the development of business cases for identified initiatives
- Collaborating with a team to define and develop new technical solutions that provide automation and workflow efficiency
- Coordinating User Acceptance Testing
- Aid in the assessment of issues and risks for innovation projects, ensuring mitigation and contingency plans and escalating as necessary
- Assisting with user change management, including training and communication plans

The Business Process Innovation team will be working on automation and workflow projects across the firm, exposing the Business Process Innovation Analyst to multiple aspects of how the firm operates. In addition, the Business Process Innovation Analyst will work with innovative technology including data analytics and AI-enabled automation tools. The projects in focus are innovative projects that have a deep impact to the transformation of AllianceBernsteinโs business processes.

This role will allow the candidate to learn multiple aspects of AllianceBernsteinโs operations and grow their knowledge of the financial industry. The Business Process Innovation Analyst will develop experience improving complex problems with innovative solutions. This person will learn Design Thinking and agile concepts to improve business processes and user experience. They will hone their process mapping and reengineering skills and grow the ability to recommend sound solutions for process improvement. The Candidate will also practice how to define a business case, influence decision making, ensure stakeholder buy-in and measure success.
Qualifications, Experience, Education:
- Bachelorโs degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of process improvement experience; consulting experience is a plus
- Professional Certification (CAPM/CSSGB/Etc.) is preferred
- Demonstrated experience working in an innovative, agile, and user experience focused environment
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems
- Proven success with working in complex, cross-functional projects
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload to achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environment
- Experience working with stakeholders/end users to analyze requirements and feasibility of solutions
- Experience working in the finance industry or with financial systems/data is preferred
Skills:
- Able to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication and logical reasoning
- Strong communication and presentation skills to gain user acceptance
- Robust problem solving and organizational skills
- Knowledge of project management tools/software
- Ability to manage time effectively when faced with multiple tasks/initiatives
- Strong data skills; working knowledge of data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Etc.) is a plus
