The Opportunity
Reporting to the Product Owner for Auto LOB Desktop, the Associate Product Owner will be accountable for developing, managing, and implementing the product backlog for call center technology/CRM (customer relationship management) initiatives. The Associate Product Owner will drive our One Ally mentality, focused on creating a unified, omnichannel experience for our customers and associates across lines of businesses.
The Work Itself
- Works collaboratively with leadership, business, technology, and digital partners to define and shape the customer and associate experience.
- Define and prioritize product needs based on the product strategy and roadmap
- Validate product requirements have been met for each development iteration
- Help define and conduct product demonstrations that show development progress and alignment with product goals
- Actively participate in Ally’s Agile Scrum framework, supporting Product Owner activities
- Support the Product Owner by reviewing business requirements for the product roadmap
- Work with the Product Owner to support the product vision and strategy
- Support the Product Owner in developing and clearly communicating product plans, benefits, and results to a spectrum of audiences, from internal stakeholders to customers
- Triage production issues with business and technology partners to ensure swift and satisfactory resolution with minimal impact to users and the business
- Create a consistent, proactive reporting routine for standard program updates and transparency to management
- Remains engaged in all steps of the sprint process, including business validation/testing and participation in regularly scheduled technology releases
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field is preferred OR 5+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
- 2+ years of proven professional experience balancing competing priorities and iteratively delivering value to customers
- Coachable, but with the ability to work autonomously with little help or direction
- Great communicator, able to articulate complex issues to a wide range of audiences
- Proven experience and understanding that measurement and analysis is critical to success
- Demonstrates “One Ally” core values
- Proactive problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Professional experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum processes is preferred
- Professional experience in Product Management is preferred
- Professional experience in contact center operations and/or technology is preferred
- Experience in Salesforce or other CRM applications is preferred
- Experience in financial services industry is preferred, including knowledge of line of business operations
- Thrives in a fast-paced, self-directed, team environment and is comfortable presenting ideas and concepts across all levels, both inside and external to the organization
- Detailed-oriented and able to perform tasks at all levels, including some routine tasks.
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong PC skills required: Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency a must
