- 1+ years of experience in financial/business analysis

- Proven analytical problem solving skills in a complex space, attention to detail, and exceptional communication & organizational skills

Business Analyst – ORDER PERFORMANCE

We develop and implement programs, tools, and policies to protect the buying experience on Amazon while minimizing friction for our selling partners. Our team is constantly innovating on behalf of both buyers and sellers to solve business problems. We are looking for a business analyst to help us drive selling partner improvements in fulfillment, delivery, and customer service.
The Order Performance team helps maintain a consistent buyer experience across all Amazon stores, regardless of seller or fulfillment channel. We are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to help our sellers deliver bar-raising performance to our buyers. This business analyst will support the work we’re doing to develop low- or no-friction alternatives for enforcing our performance standards, helping us innovate and develop specialized tech solutions to protect buyers while helping sellers to continue to grow their businesses and raise their performance above the minimum bar. We are innovating to develop highly visible trust-building signals to buyers and implement them across our stores.
In this role, you’ll work across multiple teams throughout the WW Stores business. Delivering results in this space requires a deep understanding of and the ability to influence our strategic vision for how we both improve buyer trust in our selling partners and seller trust in Amazon. This is an exciting opportunity to impact our global population of buyers and sellers. The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering results by working across multiple partner and stakeholder teams to prioritize, manage expectations, and drive improvements in a timely and efficient manner. In addition, we are looking for a team member who can think big, dive deep, and invent & simplify.
Key job responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Impact analysis for granular performance tracking and performance improvement solutions for our selling partners.
- Analysis of the interaction between seller behavior and buyer confidence; building scalable solutions to protect buyers without interrupting seller business.
- Deep diving and communicating recommendations to maximize the impact of providing buyers with trust- and confidence-building seller performance signals in a highly visible space across our stores.
- Propose policy solutions based on a deep understanding of how a violation of our performance standards impacts buyer trust and future shopping habits.
- Monitoring & Mechanisms eg. Generate reports to ensure the actual impact from the actions are aligned with what was expected (iterating if needed).
- Integrate new metrics into the right recurring mechanisms to ensure, (i) future issues can be detected faster or prevented altogether, and (ii) the right feedback loops exist to continually improve our products, programs, and policies.
About the team
Our team sets and enforces minimum performance standards for Amazon’s selling partners on fulfillment, delivery, and customer service. We work with our partner teams to provide products and services that assist our sellers in improving their performance, develop alternatives to enforcement that build knowledge and trust in Amazon, and we work to develop and perpetuate performance signals that lead buyers to high-performing sellers so that our buyers have a perfect order experience every time they shop on Amazon. - 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
- Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
- Prior experience in analytic modeling and advanced ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data
- Proven ability to clearly communicate insights and influence buy-in to stakeholders & senior leaders
- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
- Proficiency in 1+ programming language (Python, R, etc)
- Advanced working knowledge of data mining using, ETL, data warehouse
- Experience using AWS analytical services (e.g., Redshift, Data Pipeline, EMR, Machine Learning, Kinesis)
