We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and help unlock insights which take our team to the next level. The ideal candidate will be partnering with our key stakeholders to dive deep into the business challenges to understand and identify the data insights that will enable the business actions. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as an outstanding business acumen. They are experts in partnering and earning trust with business leaders to drive any key business decisions.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and execute analytical and reporting projects in collaboration with business teams, data engineering, finance, BI Engineers and specialists.
- Partner with business teams to consult, develop and implement metrics, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
- Apply analytics and business intelligence (BI) skills to retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources and extract meaningful insights and learnings from large and complicated data sets
- Work with a variety of data sources. Identify incomplete or inaccurate data, root causes of data issues, escalate discrepancies, fix data where possible or partner with data owners to deliver a solution.
- Serve as liaison between the Business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance, and ad hoc investigations into future improvements or innovations.
- Excellent writing skills, to create artifacts easily digestible by business and tech partners.
- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
- Highly analytical, detail oriented with advanced data modelling and reporting skills.
- Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them (verbal/written) to the stakeholders and senior management as required.
- Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or imperfect data.
- Project or Program management experience.
- An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment.
- An ability to work with tech teams on complex data integration projects.
