- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Engineering or related education or professional experience
- Experience with Tableau, Python, R, or other statistics/machine learning packages
- 3+ years experience as a business analyst, data scientist, privacy compliance or similar job function, including 3+ years of relevant experience with building statistical models and machine learning.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure providing secured access to large datasets
- Experience in business & operational support (process, documentation, data analysis)
- Effective communication skills enabling the ability to communicate complex information to various audiences both verbally and in writing
- Self-motivated, quick learner, fast researcher
- Experience with managing compliance and governance products and implementations, including developing relevant business, technical, and data requirements

The purpose of the Prime Video and Studios Privacy Team is to support the business with privacy guardrails that enable teams to delight our customers with new products and services that are in scope for privacy requirements and raise the bar on customer trust. Everything we do is based on this focus. This position provides the foundation for our data driven decisions and help build business cases and, working with legal and technology, helps ensure customer trust and privacy is factored into all decisions.
Key job responsibilities
- Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.
- Interface with business teams to dive deep on the needs that drive the use of customer data.
- Model data and metadata to support ad-hoc and pre-built reporting.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business.
- Develop data models to prioritize privacy projects, measure and monitor the impact of our projects and the privacy maturity of our business unit customers.
- Manage and translate ambiguity with data-driven communication.
- Bring innovative thinking and perspective to our handling and conveying complex data sets.

About the team
The Prime Video and Studios Privacy team is responsible to support the business when any product or service utilizes Customer Data and provide policy or technical guardrails for teams to do so.
- Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations
- Advanced degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems and extract insights that led to tangible business results
- Experience working for a High-tech/Large Enterprise Company
- Knowledge of industry standard regulations and risk management frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Industry relevant certifications such as IAPP, CISSP, CISA, etc
