* MS degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar quantitative field.
* 10+ years of experience in Marketing, Analytics, and Data Science
* 5+ years of leading managers of marketing analytics teams
* Deep experience developing successful analytics-based solutions to marketing problems
* Expertise in marketing
* Familiarity with data analytics techniques, statistics, machine learning, causal inference, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
* Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and experience with AWS services
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with data scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, or Matlab)

We are looking for the *Head of the Data, Insights, Science and Optimization, Marketing & Growth* (DISCO M&G) team to join and lead a global team of Data Scientists, Data Product Managers, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Data Engineers who analyze massive amount of data, provide impactful business insights, and build statistical and machine learning models that programmatically power marketing for personalized experiences. DISCO M&G team focuses on accelerating Amazon Music customer growth by empowering Marketing & Growth teams to make sound, customer-centric decisions through data and insights. We build data pipelines, self-service analytics, insights and predictive models enabling acquisition, engagement and retention at scale with personalized customer touchpoints. In this role, you will lead the global team, plan and execute to deliver data, analytics and science products and services and collaborate with internal stakeholders across marketing, growth, product, science and finance teams to scale and advance our offerings. The ideal candidate must be willing to effectively lead large scale science solutions, prioritize across multiple stakeholders and projects and be ready to jump into a fast-paced, dynamic and fun environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and grow a global team of marketing data professionals
  • Lead planning and delivering of strategic programs across domains and analytics and science areas
  • Work closely with leaders across teams in Data, Insights, Science and Optimization (DISCO) team
  • Establish close partnership with Amazon Music Marketing & Growth team, various Amazon Music teams, and other Amazon entertainment and subscription businesses
  • Connect our insights and learnings across stakeholders and organizations to empower data driven decision-making

* PhD degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar quantitative field
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with cross-disciplinary efforts
* Project management experience
* A passion for music!
