- 3+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence and data analysis
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following methods – data analysis/visualization, financial modeling, statistical modeling
- Experience with MS Excel and data analytics tools such as Quicksight, Salesforce, Tableau
- Proven ability to use hard data to back up assumptions and recommendations
- Ability to distill, cater, and communicate complex analysis and insights to senior leaders, both verbally and in writing
- 1+ years of experience working with scrum and agile methods.
- Experience with Process/Roadmap/Requirement gathering
- Ability to collaborate with leaders and engineers; demonstrated negotiation, conflict resolution, escalation, executive communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to balance business and technical requirements in order to identify dependencies and create program plans and estimates.
- Ability to identify and manage cross program risks proactively.
- Ability to interact with various levels of an organization both technical and non-technical to discuss comprehensive solutions.
- Ability to lead high powered workshops and effectively tailor messaging based on the audience and subject matter.
This Business Intelligence Analyst will drive high priority initiatives for AWS Professional Services (ProServe) to enable scale. They will work backwards translating business requirements from world-wide leaders and use their visualization and technical expertise to create actions for data engineers and analysts. As AWS ProServe grows to meet our customers’ demands for cloud solutions, the organization must change it’s process and tools to evolve for the future.
Are you passionate about driving change quickly through analytical products? In this role, you will interface with the world-wide strategic initiatives office to enable and manage the evolution of ProServe’s business.
Key job responsibilities
- Own a program roadmap for insights and analytics across world-wide teams that drives clarity across leaders and engineers.
- Design and build visualization dashboards to accelerate information-to-action at scale
- Drive the end-to-end completion from requirement gathering to launch.
- Build and review exit criteria for stories during the grooming process.
- Develop programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data
- Act as a SME for BI tools as well as delivering training to team members on the usage of these tools
- Prepare user documentation, training, and demonstrate dashboards and models to leaders.
- Create program specific KPIs, goals, and analysis to monitor progress. Present analyses within the team and to world-wide leaders.

This role’s will interface with business and technical leaders on high priority initiatives that will set up the organization for rapid growth in 2023 and beyond. They will meet with internal customers, understand their data and analytical needs, and work backwards to develop new capabilities as the organization scales.

- Experience working with VPs, Directors, data engineers, business intelligence engineers, and data scientists.
- A proven track record of increasing project scope and complexity.
- Experience working within a high-growth, Professional Services or Consulting company
- AWS Experience and Certifications.
The base pay range for this position is $88,100. – $169,500. yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
