- Definition, creation, delivery, and management of methods and capabilities for DevOps on AWS migration, implementation, and operations and optimization accelerators

Job summary
Do you have IT consulting leadership experience deploying technology and IT transformations within Fortune 500 enterprise organizations across DevOps technologies, disciplines, practices and transformations? Have you built and led successful, North American IT consulting practices? Do you have broad technical skills and experience across all aspects of agility, automation, and CI/CD engineering and associated technologies and infrastructure? Can you build and lead a large DevOps technical specialty team to deliver new capabilities to our enterprise customers? Can you build and lead DevOps transformation (all dimensions) helping customers leverage the AWS platform?
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is looking for a Delivery Practice Manager that can manage, develop, and guide customers in their adoption of AWS Cloud solutions, including innovative solutions around Cloud Infrastructure. A Delivery Practice Manager will manage a multi-disciplined team of direct reports. The Delivery PM will develop a long-term plan to develop the right skills and engagements. The role includes all aspects of people management, delivery oversight, and program management. The team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
Our AWS consultants deliver IT infrastructure architecture guidance, lead proof-of-concept projects, perform enterprise portfolio assessments, review operational best practices and conduct skills transfer workshops. AWS consultants collaborate with customers and partners to address security and compliance, performance and scale, availability and manageability. They advise customers on migrating existing systems and building new systems using the full range of AWS services. They also assist with the non-technical change management work on policies, processes and people changes.
The Global Competency (GCC) team provides direct to customer, back office and packaged delivery consulting services to customers remotely from a centralized location. Our consultants are builders and deliver projects, technical workshops, and lead implementation projects with customers around the globe. These professional services engagements focus on customer solutions such as, web applications, enterprise applications, high performance computing, batch processing, big data, archiving, disaster recovery, migration, security risk and compliance.
Key job responsibilities
Engage with enterprise customers to understand their business drivers and application portfolio. Develop bold cloud strategies with senior executives and present respective proposals.
Hire, develop and retain top talent. Set objectives, manage performance and coach your team to help them achieve their career goals.
Oversee delivery of projects, ensure high quality, on time and on budget delivery and customer satisfaction. Mitigation of delivery risks and issues.
Manage a Professional Services business with all its aspects of pipeline management, forecasting, resource planning, and delivery.
Engage with customers actively leveraging Technical or IT Transformation skills to support project delivery.
