The Business Systems Analyst II will analyze business requirements and write functional specifications. The candidate will elicit and document functional requirements based on submitted business requirements.

This position is responsible for delivering precise functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflows, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping. This position will also assist with mid-level technical questions and apply technical solutions that have established resolution methods. Additionally, the BSA II will troubleshoot application-related issues that are not resolved by the Tier 1 and Tier 2 support team. They will work with the development team to assist with resolving complex technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with BAs and business SMEs to determine their business needs and transform them into information technology system requirements
  • Review related business processes from end to end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks/gaps. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during the QA process, and support the business during the UAT phase.
  • Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)
  • Meet with the project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines
  • Provide recommendations or alternative solutions to address existing and potential trouble areas of the LendForce application.

Qualifications:


  • Scope
    Works on a broad array of complex issues and assignments with short to mid-term scope

    Requires in-depth knowledge of principles and professional concepts, expertise, and experience

    Works Independently; Determines methods and procedures on new or special assignments

    Supervision
    May coordinate activities of other team members as a project manager

    Problem Solving
    Defines and solves advanced problems with non-standard solutions
    • Experience using desktop loan origination, loan servicing, and secondary marketing software applications, preferred.
    • Mortgage experience preferred
    • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
    • Proficiency with SQL to conduct data analysis
    • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Business Analysis best practices
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Logical and efficient
    • Keen attention to detail

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Sr Business System Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree required
