Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of a Regulatory Reporting Manager, the Analyst position is responsible for the production and maintenance of state mandated reporting requirements.

This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Develops and maintains an understanding of the managed care industry including all data sources, contractual requirements and business processes.
  • Timely and accurate completion of assigned reporting requirements. This includes adherence to Internal, Plan and State determined due dates.
  • Performs data verification through trending, benchmarking or other analysis to ensure data integrity.
  • Generates documentation supporting the completion of each report.
  • Works cooperatively with other staff members, sharing technical or best practices.
  • Identifies and researches any issues, variances or anomalies impacting the accuracy of the data.
  • Collaborates with business owners and key stakeholders to provide explanations for missed SLAs.
  • Adheres to departmental policies and procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Understand and manage customer expectations.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance report procedures or departmental processes.
  • Takes initiative to continue to expand business and technical knowledge.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting, Managed Care or Healthcare experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, SQL or other reporting tools required
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools a plus
  • Basic working knowledge of business computer programs, applications and systems, database structures and data files required
  • Basic understanding of Claims Processing/ Clinical Coding and business practices a plus
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
