Responsibilities
- Major areas of accountability:
- Supplier Management ~~ Data Collection & Analysis ~~ Process Management ~~ Performance Management ~~ Supplier Reporting.
- Exposure to core contract management activities which includes performing vendor discovery, carrying out full read of contracts, ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance.
- Perform as functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders.
- Conduct Weekly/ Monthly/ Quarterly reviews with suppliers to discuss performance and improvement opportunities.
- Research vendor problems and present to management as required.
- Monitor, detect, oversee, and inform leadership of changes to Technology vendor services, contract, terms & conditions, charge rates, SLA’s, and other pertinent attributes.
- Lead workstreams and projects and act as SME for workstreams related to the transition to new supplier agreements and associated vendor management oversight.
- Ability to communicate thorough understanding of the business and a broad knowledge of existing contract negotiation practices is expected in this role.
- Follow contract execution checklist and adhere to the guidelines/framework for approving/rejecting the document for final execution from the legal team/signatory authority.
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
- Understanding of Cloud Computing concepts like: AWS, Azure etc. which includes familiarization of technical terms, technology model and associated terms & definitions.
- Participate in business and functional meetings to consult and oversee reporting/data requirements.
- Timely communication with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and managers.
- Enhances operational effectiveness of Managed Services by implementing new tools and processes; drives SLA and KPI improvement process, escalation guidelines and general policies.
- Partner with Finance to develop and manage the financial plans for major suppliers as they relate to services consumed by Ameriprise and ensure that suppliers invoices reflect services received.
- Write and maintain process documentation for any reports and deliverables developed or modified
- Develop analytics, systems, and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience. 1 years supply chain management/supplier management experience, in a global technology multi-supplier environment.
- Exposure to Cloud Computing Concepts.
- Data extraction, analytics reporting.
- Effective communication/facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, issues and recommendations clearly/persuasively.
- A good understanding of foundational statistics, financial concepts, and information systems
- Proven project management experience.
- Expert level analytical ability and experience with advanced analysis methodologies.
- Proven proficiency in all MS Office applications (most critical: Excel, Power BI, Teams & PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor contracts / performance / relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate level analysis and MS Office skills (including VB Script and Macros).
- Experience navigating and querying systems of record: ServiceNow, Ariba and Archer.
- Exposure in Power BI, Power Query or Python.
- Ability to analyze financial results to bridge the business plan/results to financial targets/results.
- Experience defining and managing service management metrics.
