The Capacity Analyst is responsible for supporting complex architectures by providing capacity management subject matter expertise to enterprise-wide stakeholders. Produce and maintain an appropriate and up-to-date capacity plan that aligns to the strategic plans of the business and provides expertise and guidance on all capacity and performance related issues. Ensure that the capacity performance targets are met or exceeded and assist with the diagnosis and resolution of performance and capacity related incidents and problems.

Responsibilities

Analytics, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Extract, model, analyze and validate data from capacity management information systems independently identifying key issues, patterns and deviations.
  • Accurately translate modeling and analytic output into understandable actions for business partners across the organization. – Facilitate and provide management with capacity reports including historical and projected usage.
  • Produce accurate forecasts for unplanned capacity expenditures and future processing and storage requirements.
  • Creating and making enhancements in dynamic dashboards using PowerBI
  • Ensuring a strong focus on data accuracy and consistency and ability to analyze data issues, collaborate with stakeholders and get it rectified in the system
  • Fetching data directly from various systems or a data warehouse using Python, SQL

Capacity Planning

  • Lead the technology capacity planning process and facilitate periodic status review meetings for infrastructure and production stakeholder teams.
  • Prepare and present platform status presentations for senior management clarifying objectives, status, issues, and risks to the capacity plan.
  • Influence demand for resources as necessary to drive business results.
  • Develop, document, and communicate technology-driven analytic solutions and capabilities to stakeholders.

Capacity Management

  • Identify, monitor and manage the performance, capacity and utilization of each component within a technology service that meets or exceeds SLA targets.
  • Ensure that capacity matches the continuously evolving demands of the business in the most cost- effective and efficient manner.
  • Ensure future business requirements for services are considered and understood that sufficient capacity to support new or changing requirement is planned and implemented within an appropriate time frame.

Problem Resolution

  • Identify, research, and assist with resolution of capacity and performance issues that present risk to the current and future health of the technology infrastructure environment.

Service Management Process Liaison

  • Serve as subject matter expert, business partner, and primary liaison to functional managers for service management processes and supporting functionality.

Analytics Strategies and Solutions

  • Assist in strategy development, recommendations, and execution of solutions that mature the Technology Analytics function, based upon comprehensive and thoughtful analysis of business goals, objectives, requirements, budgets and existing technologies.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Capacity management
  • 1 year experience in SQL
  • Knowledge of any operating system
  • Demonstrated proficiency in requirements gathering, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • A technical background with a wide breadth of experience in IT infrastructure including desktop hardware, enterprise applications, databases, storage, networks, and servers.

  • Excellent communication skills & practices delivery of ITIL process training sessions.
  • This role require managing Team Leaders & individual contributors across TI Operations

Preferred Qualifications

Good to have knowledge or experience in:

ITIL, Service now, Power BI

Ability to:
Work at all levels of the organization, including executive presentations
Quickly build strong relationships
Approach a given problem in a consultative manner
Work in a highly dynamic and unstructured environment
Think strategically and translate to tactical actions for execution
Quickly translate technology use to business value
