How will you make an impact in this role?
Codes, unit tests, corrects and documents program changes from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools. Understands and provides feedback on supplied technical designs. Assists in resolution of defects as required. Works on projects on Applications and Platforms supporting a business area/process. Will have a specialism in one type of software development. Works on moderately complex programs. Works primarily with Programmer Analysts with limited interaction with Business Analysts and Quality Assurance Analysts. Developer is engaged at the start of design and works predominantly in the Build phase. Designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents simple programs and assists in the implementation of software which forms part of a properly engineered information or communications system. Converts program specification into source code, ensuring adherence to the relevant technical standards. Undertakes unit testing. Undertakes some system, user acceptance, validation testing. Updates program specification documentation. Revises code based on test results. Works with project team to prepare component for production. Escalates and provides feedback on program specifications
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years hands-on experience with the following technologies:
- Strong Python Programming skills
- Java (Optional)
- Big Data – Spark/Hive/Hbase (Optional)
- SQL/ NoSQL
- RESTAPI and services
- Strong analytical skills and programming skills, experience with productionalizing capabilities environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- One of the popular Machine Learning technologies such as such as ScikitLearn, TensorFlow, Keras etc (Preferred not mandated)
- Experience in specialized areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Recommendation Systems ( Preferred not mandated)
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores (Preferred Not Mandated)
