Apple’s AI/ML organization is looking for an experienced hands-on program manager to partner with research and engineering in the creation of groundbreaking technologies across products and platforms using machine learning and artificial intelligence, with focus on new and pioneering technologies. This role requires excellent relationship management, program creation, project management and cross-functional coordination. We are looking for a creative technical problem solver who can strategize and implement in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. This teammate will use product thinking, collaboration and partnership to impact engagement across multiple teams. The MI team in AI/ML provides ultra-efficient AI experiences for all Apple products. We have a portfolio of vertically integrated solutions ranging from data to Hardware-AI co-design, across a range of hardware, software and user features, with the goal of enabling new and novel experiences for teams throughout Apple. We are looking for experience, passion, and a track record for shipping complex new technology. This is a hands-on Engineering Program Manager position working with the most creative people in the world. The EPM will lead teams in the entire product development lifecycle from concept through research and delivery.

Description
You will work with world-class machine learning specialists, in the concept, research, and development of innovative technologies for Apple products and experiences. To be successful, you will be eliminating barriers to your team’s success, clearly communicating your work to all partners, and ensuring that the big picture stays in focus while digging down to detail, as needed. Responsibilities will include: – Work with cross-functional teams to identify product value and vision, project scope, constraints, dependencies, and risks – Partner with Engineering to develop project objectives and key results, roadmap, prioritized backlog, and clear deliverable – Drive cross-functional teams to build and enhance innovative machine learning models and training infrastructure – Lead efforts to gather and communicate progress, metrics and key results to leaderhip, executive team, internal partners and stakeholders via presentations, documentation and web technologies – Collaborate with other Apple teams to promote cross-team technology sharing
Education & Experience
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Additional Requirements
- The following are preferred qualifications:
- Experience in applications of computer vision and/or audio technologies to real-world problems
- Experience in optimization techniques for on-device AI/ML
