Apple’s AI/ML residency is a year-long program inviting experts in various fields to apply their own domain expertise to innovate and build revolutionary machine learning and AI-based products and experiences. As AI-based solutions spread across disciplines, the need for domain experts to understand machine learning and apply their expertise in ML setting grows. Residents will have the opportunity to attend machine learning and AI courses, learn from an Apple mentor closely involved in their program, collaborate with fellow residents, gain hands-on experience working on high-impact projects, publish in premier academic conferences, and partner with Apple teams across hardware, software, and services.
Key Qualifications
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Objective-C, C++, Swift, and/or R. Candidates should have experience completing a moderate-sized software project
- Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with others
- Ideal candidates will also have academic, research, or industry experience in one of the following: natural language processing, computer vision, optimization, signal processing, speech. Thesis, dissertation, capstone project, internship, co-op, and/or industry experience in these fields all qualify
Description
The Siri Multi-modal Learning team is looking for a resident to play a role influencing and developing Siri’s next generation multi-modal assistant on Apple’s devices. If you’re eager to get involved in hands-on work researching and developing new Siri experiences with multiple input modalities like speech, vision and other sensors, this residency role might be for you! Additionally, you’ll play a part in the next revolution in human-computer interaction and contribute to a product that is redefining mobile computing. You’ll create groundbreaking technology for large scale systems, spoken language, computer vision, big data, and artificial intelligence. And you’ll work with the people who created the intelligent assistant that helps millions of people get things done — just by asking. Education & Experience
Graduate degree in a STEM field or equivalent industry experience in software engineering
