Job Description
The Data Analyst – Finance will provide accounting and finance support for the NA GPO business unit, as well as analytical support to Avendra’s executive management and other key business groups. Such support incorporates forecasting and budget analysis, monthly financial and cash flow projections and operating results analysis, month end close procedures, spend analytics for GPO member base, summarizing and communicating results to various groups across the business, and business cases and business development activities.

Job Responsibilities
- Supports the strategic planning process and the development of the annual business plan, budget and forecast for the business on an annual, monthly and weekly basis
- Supports the quarterly operating reviews and other executive management reports
- Recognizes opportunity and drives improvements with Aramark supplied software tools
- Analyzes and compares monthly and quarterly results, metrics and key performance indicators against plan and other benchmarks
- Analyzes productivity (food and labor), marketing and other business initiatives impact on financial results
- Responsible for dashboard accuracy / reconciliation (PMD, Labor Dashboard, etc.)
- Performs or compiles ad hoc analyses as the need arises
- Perform Finance / Accounting functions including month-end close, operating expense analysis, and monthly financial reporting
- Prepare and validate monthly and quarterly financial and cash flow projections. Work with GSC&P finance to consolidate outlook at the GPO business unit level
- Accurate monthly reporting of Revenue and EBIT results with variance analysis vs forecast, plan and prior year
- Provide analytical support and analysis to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, VP Finance & Accounting, and senior management
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, utilizing Planning Analytics and other tools
- Analyze operational results relative to projections across P&L to determine drivers of and impact on business
- Perform NPV and various other analyses for business cases
- Analyze and compare monthly and quarterly financial results and key performance indicators against plan and other internal/external benchmarks, including new and lost business reporting
- Build/establish relationships with key business, financial, and operational personnel to ensure full understanding and support for GPO initiatives.

Qualifications
- At least 0-2 years of relevant work experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business-related field (finance or accounting preferred)
- Detailed oriented, strong organization skills and ability to learn quickly while working in a fast-paced multifaceted environment
- Ability to adjust priorities to meet timelines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint
- Proven excellence in both written and verbal communication skills
