We are looking for highly motivated Innovation Interns, who are passionate about the intersection of technology and construction, to join our Chicago Innovation team. A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Ability to demonstrate advanced working knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets
- Develop and maintain company-wide tools for estimating, scheduling, quality control, etc. using the Microsoft suite of software
- Build solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
- Meet with end users to collect, structure, analyze, and report on data from all facets of the construction process
- Collaborate, learn, and contribute to ongoing projects
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics, completed boot camp program, or relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience working with dispersed teams
- Willingness and ability to work independently, as well as collaborate in team settings
- Ability to take ownership of assigned project from start to finish
- Eager to learn and expand skillset
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and analytical skills
- Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or professional work experience in related field is helpful, but not required
- Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) coding experience a huge plus
- PowerPlatform experience (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, AI Builder)
- Database management/SQL experience
- Technical documentation writing experience
- Experience writing for a business / professional audience
