Prior experience in chemicals is not a requirement for the role. Key Responsibilities
- Support global chemical analyst team and chemical principal consultants.
- Deliver on analytics products with data gathering and curation, database development and modeling, industry analysis and content (written commentary, data visualization).
- Meet a series of project-related deadlines, regular subscription product deadlines and adapt easily to a changing environment underpinned by innovation.
- Consolidate regional information from editorial, business development and consulting sources and collaborate closely with colleagues in global offices.
- Support business development and marketing activities with preparation of materials such as blogs, powerpoint, white papers, infographics.
Who Are We Looking For?
We want high-potential go-getters like you:
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s preferably in Engineering, Economics, Finance or industry-related fields from a reputable university.
At least 5 years of prior experience within Price Reporting Agencies (PRAs), consulting firms or within the energy/commodity/petrochemical industries will be advantageous to the role.- Highly numerate with ability to analyse data quickly and meticulously with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Interest in and enthusiasm for commodities, energy markets, global business, politics and economics.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficient in Excel – advanced data manipulation commands, pivot tables and VBA macros.
- A self-motivated, well-organised and inquisitive nature.
- Experience with or eager to learn SQL databases and R or Python programming languages
- Able to work independently as a self-starter and also21 collaborate with our teams located in other locations
- Able to anticipate, recognize, and identify key issues/problems and establish objectives and priorities for solving them, in order to meet tight deadlines.
