Overview:
The IT Business Analyst will work to define, optimize, and deploy IT products and software that support the overall success of the organization. They will conduct field research and analysis to come up with solutions to business problems and help create and implement those solutions for the business. Additionally, this person will be a vital link between the company’s IT product/development department and internal customers helping guide the business in improving processes, products, and software.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor process and performance of various business areas. Draw insights from the monitoring to identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Create and maintain business process documentation
- Serve as a lesion between the business and the development team to ensure business needs are met
- Investigate and resolve complex user questions and issues
- Collect requirements from business users to identify and document software/product changes and enhancements
- Lead the detailed design of the business case
- Work alongside technical developers as they develop the product/software to answer questions, provide guidance, support as needed
- Requirements management and communication
- Creation of use case documentation to support QA process
- Acceptance Testing
- Able to travel at least 10% of the year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equal work experience)
- 4+ years of Business Analyst and/or Product Owner experience
- Requirements gathering and creation
- Experience going beyond functional requirements gathering – you can understand the business, translate business needs into technical requirements, and provide recommendations at a strategic and functional level
- Facilitates internal team and cross functional collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Use Case documentation creation for quality assurance processes
- Costs benefit analysis
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
- Interpersonal and consultative skills
- Nice To Have: Moderate skills with SQL
- Nice To Have: Six Sigma Green Belt
