Roles Responsibilities
Product Analyst (ashoka.org + microsites) – 30%-time allocation
- Ensure accurate data recording for ashoka.org (+ microsites)
- Implement data recording for new features and new releases
- Drive organization-wide uptake of product intelligence use-cases for ashoka .org (+ microsites) using data visualization tools
- Co-create product intelligence reports with product team members, every quarter
- Enable upskilling in product intelligence among product team members and Ashoka staff
- Document vision, processes, and best practices in product intelligence for ashoka.org (+microsites); which helps guide other emerging digital products at Ashoka
Communications Analyst (social media + media/PR + social listening + performance marketing) – 30%-time allocation
- Co-create goals and measurable outcomes for established global communications campaigns
- Ensure accurate data recording from various global communications channels ( social media + media/PR + social listening)
- Drive organization-wide uptake of communications intelligence use-cases related to Ashoka s global communications channels using data visualization tools
- Integrate and correlate communications data with data from Ashoka s digital products
- Manage Ashoka s Global Google Ads Grant and help establish best practices for Google Ads Grant management (performance marketing)
- Establish best practices for advertising on digital platforms (social media, and more) for communications staff across Ashoka (performance marketing)
- Improve Ashoka s ability to understand the quantity and quality of its reach in digital media by co-creating global communications reports, bi-annually
- Enable a culture of data-driven communications among Ashoka staff
- Document vision, processes, and best practices for digital communications and communications intelligence at Ashoka
Digital Ecosystem Analyst (moving digital transformation forward) – 30%-time allocation
- Facilitate c ollaborat ion and alignment between analysts across Ashoka to establish an organization-wide vision and approach to product and communications intelligence
- Use data to enable the discovery of new value propositions and reduce redundancies across Ashoka s digital products
- Integrate data from digital products and communications channels across Ashoka to create an ecosystem-level visualization of Ashoka s digital ecosystem (one-stop place for top-level insights from digital products and communications)
- Ensure digital product and communications teams across Ashoka are well-equipped with analytics tools and resources
- Improve awareness about Ashoka s digital ecosystem (products + communications) among Ashoka staff
Learning / Self-Improvement / Experimentation – 10%-time allocation
- Collaborate on business intelligence projects across Ashoka
- Undertake courses and certifications related to business intelligence and data analytics
- Explore the use of AI/ML, predictive analytics, and other new avenues
- Learn about new standards, tools, processes, methodologies, and approaches to business intelligence and data analytics
Desired Skills Experience
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a data-led digital communications role; previous work in non-profit and/or social entrepreneurship sector, preferred
Skilled at using and navigating:
- Frameworks related to goal-setting and KPI/OKR tracking
- Web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
- ETL and data visualization tools (such as PowerBI , Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.)
- CMS platforms (such as Drupal, WordPress, etc.)
- Social media and social listening tools (such as Hootsuite, Meltwater, etc.)
- SQL queries and databases
- Written and verbal communications across diverse global settings
