Introduction to the job

The mission of the Financial Analyst for Factory and Supply Chain Operations is to provide financial support include gathering, analyzing and summarizing financial forecasts and annual budgets and to generate business insights to drive issues to resolution for these 2 teams.

Role and responsibilities

  • As the financial business partner for the factory and Supply Chain Operations organizations, the financial analyst will build key relationships and support the achievement of the department’s priorities and key objectives. Will coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding annual financial plans and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • The Financial Analyst will assist in or execute on key activities including:

    • Reviewing operating expenses and capital expenditures to understand variances and improve future forecasts.
    • Assisting in the development of monthly packages to be utilized for financial management reporting, including variance explanations, forecast updates, scenario building and other analyses.
    • Partnering with the cost accounting team in the monthly/quarter-end close process by reviewing open purchase orders, production work orders, opex and capex, and coordinating with various business partners to estimate incurred expenses to inform forecast updates.
  • Establish and maintains databases of pertinent information for analysis.
  • Manages the development and implementation of processes, procedures, control and/or action planning for conducting special studies to analyze complex financial models or situations.
  • Works closely with assigned organizations to develop tools, analysis and metrics that enable targeted financial performance.

Education and experience

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to translate, statistically analyze data and effectively present conclusion in both written and verbal settings
  • Advanced knowledge of financial theory and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle/Hyperion preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and customer.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs
