Aston Carter, Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Financial / Data Analyst for a top employer in the Fort Wayne, IN area.
Candidates MUST reside in within the Columbus, OH | Fort Wayne, IN | Roanoke, VA | Tulsa, OK areas.

Job Description:
Under moderate supervision, perform a variety of technical duties associated with the editing, retrieval, processing, validation and market submission of metered data, interact with appropriate personnel to resolve suspected metering or telecommunications problems, work with other companies to come to an agreement on metered values, review, investigate and resolve metered load discrepancies.
Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
1. On a daily basis use meter reading software including MV-90 xi and other meter reading tools to interrogate data on the software system.
2. Perform validation checks on data and fill in gaps with estimated data.
3. Work with meter technicians to resolve issues in the field.
4. Work with counterparties to come to an agreement on interconnected meter data.
5. Estimate or find an alternative source of data for suspect data values.
6. Provide required reports using in house tools and Cognos.
7. Perform validation checks between internal data, third party data and RTO data to insure that markets settle correctly.
8. Provide good communication of system issues that may impact quality or deadlines.
9. Monitor changes to the software system and take the lead in setting up or adjusting accounts.
10. Assist in the set up of new Meters on the Transmission System.
11. Develop a basic understanding of RTO markets and market rules.
12. Meet daily and monthly deadlines.
Job Qualifications:
- Entry-level with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Business; OR
- Associate’s Degree and two (2) years relevant experience with AR analysis or performing statistical and data analysis.
- Cognos, MV90, Power BI, SAS or other analytic software experience
