The Mt. Vernon site was established in 1972 and is the flagship site delivering innovative, life changing oral solid medicines. At the site we formulate and pack OSD tablets, capsules for over 60+ markets. The Mt Vernon site is the largest AZ production site in the US and is located in the southwest corner of the state of Indiana, approximately 15 miles from Evansville, Indiana – the third largest city in the state of Indiana. The Mt. Vernon site is dedicated to creating a culture of inclusion and collaboration. The Supply Chain System Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and data on the Mt Vernon site-based supply processes which are elements of the overall global supply chains. The role will involve supporting primarily the Supply Chain team in translating strategic concepts into easily understood practical solutions/recommendations supported by facts and data analysis to drive supply site performance within the extended supply chain. They will develop BI reporting tools to and promote data driven decision making as well as facilitate enhanced business process ownership. They will provide analytical information to support both Business As Usual (BAU) Supply Chain processes and project driven initiatives. The role will engage with GSC&S and represent the site in global forums on KPI reporting including the development of reports and queries (such as MME and BW) in support of metrics reporting as well as also be responsible for providing a range of support activities to various Supply Chain leaders and occasionally Process Execution Team (PET) Leads. These will typically include the preparation and presentation of analysis and reports to support budget setting and tracking and other key Supply Chain metrics, leading root cause analysis and the identification and leadership of process improvement and cost saving initiatives as well as guide the team thorough effective and efficient compliance to various controls as required by Finance or other external standards.


What you’ll do:

  • Analyze supply chain performance, partner with internal and external team members (examples: Planning, Distribution, Process Execution Teams (PETs), Quality, Finance, Global Supply Chain & Strategy and IT), and drive opportunities for digital adoption.

  • Understand and support Supply Chain Processes, improve performance evaluation through the use of data and help transform the business by insights through detailed analysis.

  • Shape the future of analytics, including the creation of a reporting and analytics tools and roadmap to grow sustainable reporting and analytics practices, resolving pipeline of operational reports and analysis cases which includes evaluating new solutions and approaches.

  • Be encouraged to become a supply chain data specialist; with good knowledge of different aspects of the field, the ability to investigate a certain area to meet the needs of the project, analyze data and develop recommendations, and lead projects which improve the effectiveness of key functional customers by applying data automation tools and sophisticated analytic methods.

  • Lead root cause analysis of variance against Supply Chain targets and metrics and continue to evolve and build appropriate KPI’s to track. Report KPI’s to Supply Chain Leadership Team for relevant weekly/monthly reviews.

  • Engage with key collaborators to advance the quality of analysis and BI capabilities. You will develop improvement plans, prioritize them, and help get them implemented by working with other members of the team, end users, and the IT team.

  • Work with LEAN experts within and outside the group to standardize and streamline ways of working and improve the LEAN culture in the group.

  • Work on multiple projects to implement new solutions or changes to existing BI solutions originating from changes in processes and technology, or as part of continuous improvement. Participate in many of the central initiatives like Supply Chain Digitalization, Lead Time Reduction, etc.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of five years shown ability in a supply chain/analytics role

  • Logistics/Distribution experience, Good understanding of supply chain and Logistics Concepts

  • Solid understanding of SAP

  • Experience with BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI), solid understanding/experience of SQL and data science programming languages like R and Python

  • Analytic centric with a best-in-class supply chain experience

  • Strong analytical capabilities and Big Data skill

  • Ability to connect data to business decisions

  • Ability to lead and handle projects

  • Effective data visualization capabilities, ability to develop new data models by assessing, validating, and connecting to disparate data sets


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean or Six Sigma training/certification
