The purpose of a Business Analytics Specialist is to manipulate, interpret, and analyze data in support of client engagements. The Data Analytics Consultant will innovate and create user friendly custom models that evaluate utility financial, technical, and operational data. Model outputs will include sophisticated reports, charts, and graphs that demonstrate insight and result in actionable plans. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leaders/managers and clients to diagnose issues and collaboratively design programmatic solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of analytical solutions utilizing a variety of software systems and coding languages, including SQL, SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), and Python.
Primary job duties and responsibilities will include:
- Utilize applicable coding language, to design replicable and unique solutions.
- Establish data protocol to determine validity and integrity.
- Work independently and with various internal and external project teams.
- Conduct research on data analytic techniques and successfully integrate results.
- Present vetted solutions to internal and external clients.
- Design analytical methods and methodology to benefit external clients.
- Interpret results of data analytics and present findings clearly and efficiently.
- Clearly communicate techniques and result with clients and project team members.
- Answer client’s business questions by dissecting their data, using measurement techniques, drafting KPIs, and building reports and dashboards.
- Generate requirements for application designs while pinpointing the best type of visualization to meet your client’s needs.
- Build and test functional prototypes for BI, data discovery, and analytics solutions.
- Run data and dashboard quality assurance throughout the design phase in collaboration with your team.
- Build dashboard automation processes and pull together and deliver presentations based on your findings.
- Work together with IT Architects, BI analysts, database developers, application developers, and functional practitioners, as well as with clients/partners.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of combined data, analytics consulting experience
- Minimum of 5 years of analytical delivery platform implementation experience
- Process Automation, with knowledge of Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence practices (knowledge of how advancing digital tools and techniques are applied in enterprise data and analytics strategies and roadmaps)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, minimum 5 years work experience.
