- The focus will be on delivering a modernized data storage solutions utilizing state of the art technology.
- This architecture will leverage best practices for data management, maintain the flexibility to adapt to Finance’s expanding need for increased volumes of data by utilizing the cloud, and become the foundation for all management reporting for the finance function.
- Success will be seen in a solution which makes all management reporting data available to the USFA Team in one centralized location, is flexible enough to accommodate wholly unrelated data sets within finance and enables next-generation reporting, analytics, and querying tools.

Responsibilities
- Build applications ensuring that the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards. Build using modern design patterns and architectural principles. Ensure developed solutions remain compliant with all applicable Client standards. Solve complex problems and provides new perspective on existing problems. Develop through collaboration and deliver application component solutions.
- Write and conduct unit, integration tests and functional automation. Consider segment of project when conducting tests.
- Develop high quality, well documented, and efficient code supporting testing and automation.
- Support product owner in defining future stories and tech lead in defining technical designs.
- Participate in design conversations and develop the business logic and backend systems of the MVP experience. Participates in the design conversations; conveys ideas within train and to groups outside of train.
Required Experience
- Experience working with RDBMS, SQL, and ORD databases.
- Experience with AWS Cloud design/development/deployment required.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative and analytical problem solver focused on translating complex business problems into architecturally sound technical solutions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, leadership, and business partners.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
- Background in financial services functions strongly desirable
Education
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in corporate Java-based Software Engineering
