The Role
Atlas Copco is the largest Air Compressor manufacturer in the world with its compressors being used in industries ranging from hospitals to offshore oil drills. The Data Domain is responsible for establishing, consolidating, and unifying data and analytics services across the business area of Compressor Technique within Atlas Copco. Job description
We are looking for experienced SAP BODS developer to build and maintain enterprise, production-grade data pipelines, considering business requirements and data platform standards. Examples of technologies you will be working with: MSSQL server, SAP data services (SAP BODS), MS Power BI.

As a SAP BODS Developter, you work in close collaboration with the data & analytics platform architect and platform owner, product owners, data modelers, colleague data engineers and data teams in the business.
SAP BODS developers will work on the projects in Data Analytics Competence in GECIA to support CTIS. You will execute and support the Data Domain projects assigned to you and will coordinate for the execution and delivery of the projects to Various divisions and product companies of Atlas Copco in Data Analytics domain through GECIA. You will work closely with teams in Various divisions and product companies of Atlas Copco.
You will mainly support the Data Domain .
The Role
- Build, configure, deploy, and support a production-grade, scalable and secure data platform
- On top of this platform, you will build and support long-term, production-grade data ETL that ingest, store, transform, process, and expose data from producer to consumer, based on business requirements
- You develop data ETL using a code-first approach in line with the platform standards and practices
- You translate functional requirements into a technical design
- You provide and maintain technical documentation
- You will be required to train and handover common data engineering related maintenance and monitoring activities to the Data Operations & Quality Team
- You provide 2nd and 3rd level support in a DevOps operational mode or when required (occasionally outside of office hours)
- You share technology and platform expertise with colleague data engineers, product owners and other people in the organization

Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have a good blend of business and technical skills. Specific requirements for this position include:
General skills:
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, engineering, or equivalent by experience
- The ideal candidate has strong and demonstrable hands-on experience with using:
- MSSQL server
- SAP data services (SAP BODS)
- Good coding skills of SQL
- MS Power BI

Experience with following concepts or technologies is considered a plus:
- data engineering on cloud-based data platforms
- Azure Functions, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Services, Power BI
- Azure, AWS, …
Important areas of Expertise:
- Interacted with the Business team for gathering and understanding the client requirements to design the BODS jobs
- Analysis and development of ETL data flow design using Business Objects Data Services (4.2) architectures and functionality
- Design and development activities of BODS jobs. Extensive testing in UAT environment and deployment in Clients Production
- integration of various data sources like Oracle, SQL Server, Flat files, SAP BODS with SAP and Non SAP data sources
- Created Data Services mappings to load the data warehouse, the mappings involved extensive use of simple and complex transformations like SQL, Query Transform, Table Comparison, Case, Validation, Merge, lookup, etc. in the Data flow
- Created global variables, local variables, and parameters at the job, workflow, and dataflow level respectively

Education
Any Graduate ( B.E / B.Tech) in Engineering with 3-8 years of total experience with minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP BODS Developer field , projects and tools.
