Our Client is looking for a Business Analyst with Pharmaceutical R&D experience.
The Consultant would need to be adept in working in PODS (Product Oriented Delivery) – Product Development Teams.

Description:
Work you will do:
- We are seeking a Business Analyst to contribute to our growing biotech client working on digital product delivery for the R&D space.
- The Consultant leads the business analysis, process/workflow mapping and requirement gathering for Digital Products to support early Discovery Research, Translational Medicine Research and Clinical Operations.
- This Consultant reports to the Director of R&D Product Management and is a member of a Product Oriented Delivery (POD) team.
What you will do:
- In this role, Consultant will work closely with the Product Oriented Delivery Team.
You will have the following job responsibilities:
- Analyze, define, and document requirements, in close collaboration with the business.
- Understand business processes and challenges within business applications, and communicate this within POD team
- Conduct user interviews with the purpose of composing requirement specifications, use cases and other process diagrams.
- Document user stories, acceptance criteria and risk assessments
- Manage, prepare, facilitate, and document workshops to obtain requirements
- Document and ensure sign-off for Business and System requirements
- Manage the Request for Proposal and Vendor Selection processes
- Make use of IT market research and knowledge for Vendor Selection
- Write actionable user stories, act as liaison between Product Owner and the development team.
- Ensures product development is as per business requirements; assist Product Owner on Backlog Grooming and Sprint Planning
- Act as an authority on the Business Requirements, answering questions from the POD team and business stakeholders, as necessary. Document product goal and objective and manage Change Requests
- Review and agree system design with POD Team, engaging business stakeholders to validate design questions where necessary
- Provide updates to the Product Manager on progress against requirements, and report any risk and issue impacting scope
- Work with Solution Architects and/or Solution Specialists to determine the best solutions based on the requirements
- Work with Test Lead to ensure full traceability from user story to SIT and then to UAT are clearly documented in Jira Xray platform
- Support the creation of decision proposals and business cases
- Support the creation of Product vision, value, and roadmap documents
- Support Test Lead on test planning and test design
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 6+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of lab workflow automation, scientific data flow integration and ecosystem (LIMS, ELN, Genedata, etc…) connection
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Data Platform elements such as data standards & governance, data life cycle management and data management
- Extensive working experience in Jira, Confluence and Xray platform
- Proven experience working in Agile teams
- Ability to work successfully under pressure in a fast-paced environment and with tight timelines
- Ability to be proactive, enthusiastic and goal orientated
- A team player with demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. lab Scientists, Trial Managers, Data Managers, Clinicians, vendors labs) to support product development strategy
- Strong communication skills – both oral and written
Nice to Haves
- Good knowledge and understanding of Drug development life cycle is a plus
- Strong facilitation skills
- Experience in Data Modeling and supporting tools
