Job Location: Rochester, NY
Purpose
Provide research and analysis of Resource Management Area requests to define and document business requirements, develop solutions employing technology and to develop and implement resource management models. Assist in assessing the impact of proposed solutions or enhancements to other systems or business areas. Use business intelligent abilities to coordinate development, testing, and implementation of models (e.g., defining requirements, developing work plans, coordinating testing, and cut over to production, and training end users). Use effective interpersonal and communication skills to liaison between the Resource Management, Operational Areas, HR and Control. Much of daily work is completed with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Considered SME within Resource management area with emphasis on capacity and productivity models, technologies used, and systems deployed. This includes knowledge of system operations, data retrieval and reporting via standard SAP querying & reporting tools like Power BI. Develop, integrate, and implement solutions and/or changes to meet new as well as ongoing requirement from Networks Operations departments.
Assist in assessing impacts of demand/capacity changes on business operations. Anticipates business & develops standards, process improvements and documentation for resource management solutions. Ensure that the requirements of the proposed solution are incorporated into design/business specifications.
Help drive critical business decisions by analyzing metrics, designing, and building reports (about 50%). Communicate these results to managers and provide suggestions based on their findings.
Skills And Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Research Methodology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other analytical discipline.
- Master’s degree in finance or other analytical discipline is desirable.
- Eight years of experience with business processes in an operational excellence environment.
- Knowledge of resource management, operations and analysis, including data retrieval and reporting through SAP and Power BI.
- Ability to lead the introduction, enhancement, and maintenance of process improvement systems, including trouble shooting, mentoring of junior team members, and creating complex model structures.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with the system development life cycle and standard project management methodologies is desirable.
