Purpose
The Senior Analyst for Business Performance & Reporting will play a leading role in ensuring Avangrid Renewables Offshore Wind Business is achieving its objectives, developing and managing successful budgets, and reporting the team’s progress and accomplishments to internal stakeholders and senior managers. This position will play a key role in the U.S. Offshore Wind Business budget and financial planning and internal communications, while interfacing with Senior Leadership.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing and managing the U.S. offshore wind budget and coordinating with the offshore wind team leadership on budgetary needs for all departments and offshore wind projects
- Responsible for preparing monthly, weekly, and other business and project reports, presentations and briefing updates for senior management, corporate committees, and internal stakeholders
- Responsible for reporting financial information from the individual U.S. offshore wind projects and for the non-project expenditures for the offshore business
- Responsible for managing and forecasting U.S. offshore wind expenditures in coordination with each of the U.S. offshore wind departments
- Responsible for preparing and submitting monthly labor and expense invoices to the JV partner projects, working in coordination with the U.S. Control team and the global offshore affiliates
- Responsible for coordination with various Avangrid Renewables corporate functions, global offshore wind affiliates, and JV partners
- Support the VP of U.S. Offshore Wind and senior directors in preparing for various stakeholder meetings and events
- Coordinate with the global offshore business to ensure that cost allocations are correctly allocated and transferred between businesses.
- Position will have direct responsibility for interfacing with senior leadership within the organization
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 – 5 years’ experience with development and construction of renewable energy projects or equivalent project or budget management experience in another industry
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of budget preparation, implementation, and oversight
- Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures used in renewable energy development and construction, or a strong willingness/ability to quickly learn new subject matter
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment handling multiple competing priorities while dealing with ambiguity
- Able to work effectively in a multi-function, global team environment
- Pro-active, detail oriented, results-driven, with organized work techniques
- Excellent analytical, reporting presentation, and oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with SharePoint and SAP, or comfort with similar budget/project management platforms recommended but not required
