Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced People Data Analyst to join our People Data and Insights Team. Working with data of AVEVAโ€™s global workforce, you will deliver accurate, clear, and actionable insights about our people that drive a rewarding people experience and business success.

Department and Function

This role is part of the People Data and Insights team that sits within the People Experience function.

Primary Responsibilities

You will have responsibility across the full lifecycle of People data, analytics and reporting for global stakeholders in the People Team, wider AVEVA business, and providing data for external stakeholders, benchmarks, and surveys.

As a member of the People Data and Insights team, you will

  • Prepare clear and accessible people metrics, reports, visualisations, dashboards, and advanced and predictive analytics
  • Select and apply appropriate quantitative and qualitative research design to solve business needs
  • Highlight key issues and trends, providing interpretation and assessment against external benchmarks
  • Partner with People Partners, Talent & Reward Centre of Excellences, Internal Communications, and managers across the business to frame their needs in terms of data, design and deliver trusted, actionable insights
  • Consult and coach on interpretation of data, data ethics, data protection and good security practices to help establish data-led thinking throughout the People Team
  • Develop and maintain automations to ensure timely, robust, repeatable, and tested solutions
  • Monitor, report, and address data quality issues
  • Select, configure, and implement appropriate analytics solutions, working closely with HR Information Systems and IT teams for implementation
  • Support data transformation and transfer between systems

  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

    You must have:

  • A degree in Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Data Science, HR Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, or equivalent discipline
  • 2+ yearsโ€™ experience of data analysis and / or reporting
  • Demonstrable understanding of handling sensitive data, GDPR and data protection issues in a global context
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience of data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, VBA, Python, R, SPSS, Power BI, Tableau, Relational databases
  • Experience of HR Information Systems
  • Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, data transformation and data enrichment techniques
  • Excellent data visualisation skills
  • Well-developed general IT skills โ€“ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience working with global colleagues across cultures and time zones
  • Stakeholder engagement skills โ€“ to build strong relationships, uncover and assess requirements, and to act as a data coach
  • Ability to present clear, simple, and actionable information from complex research
