What will your essential responsibilities include?
Support Risk Aggregation and reporting
Drive periodic aggregation, modeling and reporting of catastrophe risk for AXA XL insurance
Ensure effective transitioning of aggregation and reporting activities for class of business activities
Ensure timely and quality delivery of business and group reporting, other reporting and regulatory reporting / data / analysis requirements.
Create and maintain process documentation and keep a key focus on enhancing / addressing new requirements.
Support and collaborate with underwriting, enterprise shared services cat modeling, actuarial etc. cross functional activities and projects
Support deep dive analysis & ad Hoc Risk Management / business requests
QUALIFICATIONS/ COMPETENCIES
Sound hands on experience in catastrophe risk modeling, risk aggregation and reporting activities
Demonstrated ability of analysis and reporting of portfolio catastrophe risk, business and regulatory reporting
Demonstrated ability to organize and analyze data and communicate the insights effectively
Demonstrate experience in data analysis and reporting initiatives focus at enhancing data quality, processes and reporting capabilities
Results-oriented and collaborative team player
Strong communication skills including the ability to explain complex problems and communicate proposals for improvements
Ability to multitask and manage complex activities
Capacity to take a whole view of the business – see the links with key issues and implications
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
Strong knowledge and hands on experience of RMS RiskLink and RiskBrowser applications
Strong knowledge and hands on experience of MS SQL, Access and Excel applications
Ability to interpret reinsurance slips and retro placements advantageous. reinsurance treaty modeling is a plus
Solid understanding of key insurance product offerings, underwriting, (re)insurance concepts and (in)reinsurance business processes
Exposure and experience in advanced EXCEL functionalities (Macros/ VBA coding) and process automation initiatives are desirable
Understanding of all enterprise risk management principles, achievement of relevant industry certifications is a plus
Required Candidate profile
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in catastrophe risk modeling, insurance analytics
- Catastrophe risk modeling and reporting for (in)reinsurance operations
- Catastrophe risk aggregation and risk management
- Experience / exposure in insurance underwriting support
- Data analysis, reporting, quality assurance and process management experience
