Job Detail:

Supply Chain Data Analyst: Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse big data sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for Supply Chain. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop automated web-based reports and dashboards in Power BI relayed to supply chain.
  • Design automated ETL (extract, transform, and load) data pulls from multiple systems that combine data into one central view that serves as the foundation for automated web reporting.
  • Design automated daily reporting for improvement teams so that they can track their progress.
  • Work as the data expert on projects with cross functional teams to drive change.
  • Asist to identify and implement cost saving projects related to supply chain.
  • Help maintain our end-to-end supply chain network optimization model. Maintain model components (sites, products, demand, production, transportation lanes, and inventory) by pulling and combining data from a mix of systems.
  • Work to continue to improve our toolkit of supply chain analytics, modeling, and decision support tools, including data visualization and mapping tools (Kinaxis, Cognos, Power BI or similar program).
  • Approach problems with advanced analytical, mathematical, and quantitative capabilities (R, Python, SQL).
  • Network and inventory optimization (Servigistcs or similar program).
  • Detailed analytical skills are essential to the position. Proficiency in optimization modeling software and experience with statistical concepts preferred.
  • Assist in translating complex system models into executive-level presentations with analysis and data driven recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to collaborate and communicate well with all levels of management, employees, and external contacts; ability to express facts and ideas clearly and concisely. Accurate data entry skills, attention to detail and follow-up abilities.
  • Experience gathering requirements, functional design, and documenting business processes.
  • Must be highly disciplined, organized, self-starter with the ability to execute assignments independently in agile environment. Actively seek and adopt best practices in data reporting by learning new tools and platforms.

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, industrial engineering, or operations research or 5 years equivalent industry experience. Manufacturing environment experience a plus.

Must possess strong knowledge of relational databases like Excel and BI development experience building web-based reporting (Power BI, Cognos, Kinaxis or similar tools are desirable)

Experience using Excel at an advanced level (SumIF, Pivot, VLookup, Macros, VBA code, Power Query)

Experience building automated data pulls (ETL: Extract, Transform, and Load) (Power Query, Alteryx, SQL SSIS, or other similar tools)

Experience with Glovia or other large ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics and Workday are desirable

Knowledge of supply chain methodologies (lean, inventory optimization, network optimization, OTD, Shortages, ECCN, COO, Quality, cost etc.)

Working knowledge of performing data analytics and modeling with advanced languages (e.g., Python or R)
