WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst is a member of the Azamara BI team and will provide support across various functions, including Sales, Onboard Revenue, Revenue Management, Commercial Strategy, and Product Development, in creating more robust and proactive approach to drive sales and revenue growth, increase profitability and develop long term growth strategies across the brand.
This role will be responsible for developing commercial reporting tools, models, and overall Business Intelligence solutions to provide quantitative and qualitative business insights and improve decision making across various levels of management and departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage commercial reporting and deep analytics for various departments on time and accurately to enable data driven decisions.
- Utilize visualization tools to translate data into easy-to-understand reports and dashboards, used to drive actionable recommendations.
- Produces analytical models, including quantitative and qualitative analytics on all areas of the business to deliver in-depth assessments of performance.
- Responsible for querying data, analyzing, creating reports, and presenting finding to all levels of management.
- Create ad-hoc reports, identify key learnings, and draw conclusions based on analysis and interpretation of data.
- Works with IT to ensure system and reporting enhancements meet business needs.
- Participate in the continuing transition to new Azamara data systems, platforms, and technologies.
- Performs other duties as required.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of analytical experience preferably in a business-oriented data analytics role.
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau
- Technical skills in programs like: SQL, Advanced Excel, SAS, R, Python
- Snowflake SQL preferred but not required.
- Experience with analytical manipulation and interpretation of large databases required.
- Ability to communicate findings in a simple and/or visually simple way to absorb the data presented.
- Ability to work well with non-technical business partners.
- Ability to work accurately and effectively to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks related to own responsibilities.
